Estimation du polymorphisme enzymatique d'une population de Penaeus jap nicus maintenue en élevage depuis quatre générations ArchiMer
Laubier, A; Pasteur, N; Moriyasu, M.
The polymorphism of 37 enzyme-encoding genes was investigated in a Penaeus japonicus population born the same night from a stock maintained artificially four generations. Five loci were found to be polymorphie (Lap-4, Es-3, Es-6, Es-8 and Mpi-2), and genotype frequencies at four of these loci indicate: a) that the shrimps studied come from the same two parents and b) that Mpi-2 and Es-3 genes are autosomal. The rate of polymorphism observed in this Penaeus japonicus population is similar to that described in natural populations of other Peneidae species, despite the probable occurrence of inbreeding.

Study on biochemical polymorphism of two natural populations (Atlantic Morocco, and Roussillon) of elvers and eels Anguilla anguilla and comparison with two samples in culture. ArchiMer
Yahyaoui, A; Brusle, J; Pasteur, N.
15 Types of allozymes were electrophoretically studied and variability of 24 genes analyzed and compared between Atlantic and Mediterrancean elvers (Anguilla anguilla ). No genetic difference was observed. The genetic homogenity agrees with a similar origin, the Sargasso Sea. Identity of enzymatic genes as found between different lots in culture and variation in growth was rather due to comportemental patternlike overcrowding than to genetic differences.

Variabilite genetique de quelques especes de crevettes Peneides d'interet aquacole ArchiMer
Ko, G; Pasteur, N; Bonhomme, Francois; Liao, D.
Thirteen populations belonging to seven species of Penaeid prawns (Crustacea, Decapoda) were analyzed at 29 protein loci. The authors show that both inter and intrapopulational genetic diversity are very low. These results are discussed in view of their use as guidance for aquaculture programs.
